Applied VitaFlex
Vitaflex is a term coined by Stanley Burroughs from the phrase: “Vitality Through the Reflexes.” It consists of a specialized form of digital electrical stimulation using the pads and the nails of the fingers in a rolling motion to fire voltages into the body through reflex points. Vitaflex is effective as a technique in and of itself while aromatherapy (anointing with essential oils) is also effective independent of any other modality. By combining the two the effectiveness of both is enhanced considerably. Vitaflex is based upon a complete system of internal body “controls.” When properly applied to the appropriate reflex points, a vibration of healing energy is released to heal, to relieve pain, and to remove the symptoms as well as the causes of illness. This reflex system encompasses the entire body and mind, releasing all kinds of tensions, congestion and mal-adjustments. Vitaflex makes use of the piezoelectric characteristics of the human skin where pressures, however slight, induce voltages and corresponding currents in the body. “Piezo” is a Greek word meaning "pressure.” When pressure is applied through the maneuver, voltage is built up to a maximum as the finger pads roll from flat to vertical, Then as the fingers flip over on to the nails, which are electric insulators, the electrical connection is suddenly broken firing the built up electricity into the body. The voltages produced by Vitaflex induce currents along the nerve pathways. If oils are applied at the point of Vitaflexing, they are carried into the body along generated currents because the molecules of the essential oils are electrical in nature and move along nerve pathways as well. Sickness is often a result of blocked nerve pathways. When a gap or malfunction is encountered along the way, the oils and induced voltages jump-start a faulty electrical circuitry, helping to restore proper function. The technique works best when oils and Vitaflex are applied at Vitaflex points on the body.
